  • Mishary Rashid Alafasy, born on September 5th, 1976, is a prominent and accomplished Imam and Quran reciter from Kuwait. Known by his full name Mishary Rashid Ghareeb Mohammed Rashid Al-Afasy and affectionately called Abu Nora, he has gained recognition for his melodious and emotive voice.

    Immersed in his passion for the Holy Quran, Mishary Rashid Alafasy dedicated himself to its study and memorization. His exceptional commitment led him to memorize the entire Book of Allah in just a few years. Along his journey, he had the privilege of learning from esteemed scholars such as Sheikh Ibrahim Ali Shehata Al-Samanodi, Sheikh Abdur Area Radwan, and the renowned Sheikh Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Zaiat.

    To further his education, Mishary Rashid Alafasy made the decision to pursue higher studies at the Islamic and Quranic University in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This endeavor allowed him to deepen his knowledge and understanding of the Quran.

    His influence extends beyond his exceptional recitation skills. Mishary Rashid Alafasy is also actively involved in managing two esteemed platforms for Quran recitation, namely TV Alafasy and Alafasy Q. These channels have become synonymous with his remarkable productions, earning the admiration of viewers and listeners worldwide.

    Presently, Mishary Rashid Alafasy serves as an Imam, leading prayers at the esteemed Masjid Al-Kabir in Kuwait. His dedication to spreading the message of the Quran and his remarkable recitation talents continue to inspire and touch the hearts of countless individuals.
